Attorney Stephen A. Katz graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin, after which he studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in philosophy on a full fellowship. He received a J.D. degree from Boston College Law School. He worked for two years for The Research Group in Cambridge, MA, and then opened his own law office. He built up an asbestos-litigation practice, with offices in Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. In the 1990s Katz moved into other areas, practicing franchise law, representing small businesses, and handling hearing-loss cases. He takes a particular interest in legal writing. In 2004, attorney Katz began defending mortgage borrowers in foreclosure. |
